pirate deterrent
The verse is as filthy as it gets.
Pirate Scum, Outlaws, Rebels, Duul, Xenos, and god knows what else...
It makes one wonder if you can truly be safe in this turmoil of our known space.?
Skylark Aims to venture to the frontier, probably the least coziest place in the verse for those of you who have never set foot off Terra.
Any organization that thinks they can venture in into the frontier without running into humanity's "less sophisticated" lifeforms deserve to be left on the frontier, permanently...
What Skylark needs is an tempered, unfaltering shield that dissuades any would-be attackers and most importantly, can handle anything those scum throw at them.
It's what we do, and we are damn good at it!

ready for anything
It ain't always the cozy escort duty, it ain't easy living on the frontier and you gotta respect it.
This division is always prepared for anything thrown at us, whether it be space, ground or sub terrain, we got it covered because we need to.
If all you've ever known is the cozy seat of your Vanguard Warden, then grow a pair since the frontier ain't gonna compensate for your lack of training when your ass is on the ground facing the local neighborhood with things worse than the Duul.
This is the Ranger Recon Division. We are prepared, are you?

Strive for Excellence
This is where the fun begins. Skylark might be a big corporate shill, but don't think we can't have any fun around here!
Skylark sponsors it's own team of racers, mainly volunteers from RR since they can put their training to use on their downtime here and make a pretty penny while they are at it.
Can't say we match up to those dedicated racing org.s that spend years honing their craft, but we can still give those elites a good run for their money since we got the top of the line gear thanks to corporate. I mean, I would spend a little extra too if my company's reputation was at stake, ya know?
I personally ain't a fan of the racers, too fast for me and race is over before you know it. I'm more into the ground racers, and I'm talking 'bout them weapons free ones like the Daymar Rally.

What we deliver
ESCORTOur bread and butter, escort is our primary occupation here for Skylark operations., The other folks (usually Belfort guys) sometimes don't even know which side of the gun goes boom, a miracle they survived for this long...
We aren't meant to contract our to 3rd parties since we are Skylark's private security firm but if the price is right, ya know. $$$. mobi me. |
Ground opsMy favourite, and the most challenging of our tasks by far. In a ship you can rely on the nice cozy leather seats, bulkheads of reinforced armour, and a well oiled crew to boot. Down on the ground, especially in the frontier, it's no-mans-land where recon is of utmost priority and the reason for our namesake.
We pride ourselves with being the first contact with some new species out there, usually the flamer does the trick if they get feisty. Kepler guys hate us but they should thank us for saving their asses on a regular basis..... |
RACINGIf you love to shoot and love the thrill, consider joining our racing team if you think your skills are up to it.
We participate in some of the larger competitions such as the Daymar Rally and sometimes the Murray Cup if we get qualified. Not an elite team, but lots of fun and we got the budget to boot. |
THE ARSENAL
CompetitionORIGIN M50: Red is fast right? yeah I bought into the commercials too and here we are. It carries a hefty premium pricetag but it can perform and it's components are all top-class.
MISC Razor: Looks like a pancake but i guess that makes it light as a feather right? I don't touch these, out of my expertise but I heard they are great in a straight line. AOPOA Nox: Fast buggers, not too comfortable however. Guess the Xi-an don't understand leather seats yet. Beats the dragonfly though, would be embarrassing to lose to one in this. ORIGIN V1 Velocity: These things are still on order, but I can't wait to get my hands on em since the Nox are a little too uncomfortable for me. Would rather something made by humans. TUMBRIL Cyclone: You would think RC all the way right? Only if you're into the cleaner races, sometimes the TR comes in handy if you know what I mean. Support Craft: We don't have our own support craft like the crucible for repairs, Vulcan for Fuel or Hercules C2 for transport so we gotta ask Trident guys nicely, or not so nicely? it depends on which corporate thinks will rake in the most credits i guess. |
SecurityANVIL F7C Hornet: The core of our fighter fleet, a robust and reliable craft that carries a hefty punch. It has several variants to boot, but you can't beat the Super Hornet for the firepower it brings. The Tracker is also a mainstay when operating in hostile territory so we don't get jumped.
AEGIS Vanguard: If we put you in one of these, expect to stay in it for the long haul. I ain't kiddin' here, these are big and tough but most importantly have the capability for long range escorts which is pretty much what Trident does all day. Sentinel & Wardens for those escorts, it's where we put the newbies haha. Cru Ind. Hercules M2: The Trident guys have their C2, but we got the shiny M2 here for our FOB on frontier planets. These babies can hold several Tonks with supplies for the expedition ahead. Boss says maybe an A2 if we really need it hehe. AEGIS Hammerhead: Our big bois, if you want to deter pirates then this thing does exactly that and makes you dinner on top.. A beautiful bird and perfect for long-haul Trident transports but don't try flying these on planets or the mechanics will push you the bill ha ha.. ha ... DRAKE Cutlass: We got Red, Blue and the Black. Red is for evac on missions where our main fleet can't support us, Blue is for sweet bounty lockers and the Black is mainly for planet-side patrols for Foundry. TUMBRIL NOVA tank: Oh man we don't use these often but when we do sign up asap, they are a joy to ride and are moving bunkers themselves. Still waiting for the flamer mod. then I can convince corporate to get more of these on our expeditions! TUMBRIL Cyclone TR: Some say we should bring the AA but I bet the differ since those puny S1 missiles won't hurt a fly and EMP is a double edged sword. TR however reminds me of the old UEEMC days. Personal Equipment: We issue the gear around here, if you bring your own then great but makes sure it's ok with the bigwigs 'cause of uniform code and UEE weapon bans or whatnot but don't fret since last I checked there are no laws on the frontier! |
